Welcome to Springside Primary and thank you for your interest in our school. Springside Primary School is situated in the Walmersley area of Bury about two miles north of the town centre. The school was formed in September 1982 as a result of the amalgamation of Walmersley County Primary School and Hillside County Primary School. The school buildings are surrounded by the school's large playing fields and gardens. Open farmland lies beyond the playing fields. The school is co-educational and takes children from the normal primary school age range of 4+ years to 11+ years. The school has an Early Years Foundation Stage Unit offering 15 free hour places to 3 years old at the start of the school year. It is possible to pay for additional nursery education and childcare before and after school and during lunch times. The unit is staffed by experienced teachers and teaching assistants.
| Springside is a happy school, with a purposeful and friendly atmosphere. We have the highest expectations of behaviour, work and play, helping every child to achieve their fullest potential and enjoy their time at our school. We are proud of our community partnerships - home, local church, local secondary schools, health and welfare departments and the wider community, with whom we work to help our children succeed. |
