On Friday, we had a Remembrance Day Service in school. We talked about the history of the day and read some famous poems e.g. Flanders Field by John McCrae and For The Fallen by Laurence Binyon. Children in year 3 had been writing their own Poppy Day Poems and 2 children read their poems in assembly. We also had a 2 minutes silence. They shall not grow old, As they that are left grow old Age shall not weary them Nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun And in the morning
